Wet waste management at Aparna Cyberlife (ACL) comprises of 4 main stages:

  1. Residents segregate wet waste in their homes
  2. Wet waste transfer from resident home to processing area (near ACL Buffer Zone)
  3. Processing of the wet waste till it gets converted in compost
  4. Utilizing compost for various purposes within and outside of ACL

In this guide, we will elaborate on resident side of responsibilities (#1 above).

Things that residents need for wet waste management

  1. Three separate bins at home – (a) NEW – bin with lid for wet waste, (b) EXISTING – bin with/without lid for other waste, (c) EXISTING – bin/large box to store dry waste for weekly pickup by Bintix
  2. Stickers provided by APMS Housekeeping staff should be pasted on the wet waste and other waste bins. These stickers make it easy for residents to distinguish between the 2 daily waste types and also helps staff during waste pickups.

Things that residents should do daily

  1. Please separate waste into the 3 bins daily. Segregation has to be properly done to make the whole process effective, especially wet waste and dry waste.
  2. Daily in the morning, follow the normal timing to put your household waste outside for House Keeping (HK) staff pickup.
    1. Wet waste bin (with green sticker)
      1. Please make sure to cover the wet waste bin with a lid so that it does not create smell outside.
      2. HK staff will empty this wet waste bin and leave the bin there.
      3. Collect the wet waste bin back and use it rest of day. Repeat this process next day morning
      4. This wet waste collected by HK staff is then sent to our internal Organic Waste Converter for processing into compost.
    2. Other waste bin (with red sticker)
      1. Please use a garbage bag to hold all other waste
      2. HK staff will take the bag as is and give it to GHMC for further processing
